The Kangaroo Point Cycling Club is proud to present the 2010 Upperlimb.com Cunningham Classic. This year marks the 28th Anniversary of one of the hardest and most prestigious races on the Queensland cycling calendar.
In order to maintain a safe, competitive and fair race this year and into the future it has been necessary to increase the race entry fees for 2010. As a point to point event with up to 10 races running simultaneously, the Cunningham Classic is an expensive event to present and as a not for profit cycling club, KPCC can not afford to subsidise the cost of this race. In order to continue to present this event, we require the support of riders.
Some of the expenses for the 2010 Upperlimb.com Cunningham Classic include:
Fuel Costs for up to 40 support vehicles
Cycling Queensland Administration Fee (15% of entries)
Police (up to 4 cars)
SES/traffic control at Gatton, 5 intersections along the Leyburn route & the finish
First Aid – St Johns (4 vehicles)
Commissaires Entitlements (min 14)
CQ equipment hire (signage and radios)
Newspaper Advertising (to comply with race permit)
Lunch for Commissaires and Volunteers
